Lizarazu's injury regret
The French full back suffered a knee injury on September 10, against Nurnberg, and admitted he did not spend enough time recovering.
A trip to his homeland, and Marseille, to meet Professor Franceschi, has cleared the matter up for the former World Cup winner.
"The positive aspect is that I don't need any operation," stressed Lizarazu.
"There are neither meniscus nor ligament problems.
"In fact, it is the same injury as Willy Sagnol sustained last spring.
"I resumed too early and I paid the price.
"I thought it was just a knock.
"But, on Sunday, during the training session, I was injured once again.
"It is quite logical as it needs three weeks to heal. I will start to run again on Monday or Tuesday.
"It's getting on my nerves because I was back to full fitness, and, due to a trivial thing, the knee has got swollen."
