Wise completes Millwall move
The former England midfielder is under contract to The New Den club until the end of the 2003/04 season.
Wise's move to Millwall makes it the third London club that he has played for in his career, having enjoyed previous spells at Wimbledon and Chelsea.
The 34-year-old was to begin his second season at Leicester City this term but a pre-season bust-up with team-mate Callum Davidson in Finland led to the firebrand's sacking from the Walkers Stadium club.
With no contract for the current campaign, Wise has decided to join Millwall and help boost their fortunes in Division One, with Mark McGhee's side sitting fourth from bottom in the table.
On the decision to sign with The Lions, Wise told the club's official website: "I am delighted to be here and am really looking forward to playing football again."
Wise added that recent events involving his sacking by The Foxes have been difficult but he is glad to be back in football at Millwall.
He told The Evening Standard: "It hasn't been a wonderful time for me. The last eight weeks the press have had fun with me but that's over with.
"I regret things that have happened but it's time to move on.
"I don't like the way I'm portrayed in the press but I have to put up with it and it won't stop me playing football."
