Zago eyeing Roma reunion
The 33-year-old Brazil spent five seasons at the Stadio Olimpico, but left the Roman club in the summer after agreeing a two-year deal with Besiktas.
Zago rejected the chance to stay in Italy as he was only offered one-year deal whilst the Turks offered greater security in a multi-season contract, although many believe manager Fabio Capello wanted to bring in a new defender.
"I am happy to be here, but I miss Roma," revealed Zago. "I could never forget Rome and Italy."
"If Roma were to come in for me, I would go."
The stopper is also concerned about his former club's current poor run of form domestically and in Europe.
"I'm very sad about the results Roma have had in the Champions League. If I was playing there I could be a success," added Zago.
