Pelzer aims to impress

BLACKBURN defender Sebastian Pelzer has vowed to 'seize his chance' if he is called into the Rovers first team.

The 23-year-old German, a low-key £300,000 signing from Kaiserslautern, has been sidelined with hamstring trouble of late but played in a reserve match with Aston Villa recently and has now set his sights on forcing his way into the starting XI.

"I'll seize my chance when it comes along," said Pelzer.

"The first couple of months have been a little bit frustrating because of the injury but I'm keeping positive.

"When I do get my chance, I'm confident I'll take it.

"All I can do in the mean time is keep working hard and then when that chance comes, make sure I grab it.

"I feel fit again and I just hope I can impress the manager. I'm feeling very settled here."
