Cousins: Buy my testimonial tickets

FORMER Wycombe Wanderers defender Jason Cousins has pleaded with the club's supporters to snap up tickets for his testimonial match against Celtic or he will be forced to cancel the match.

Cousins has spent the last two years trying to set up the match at Adams Park on October 8 against the Scottish Champions, who are managed by former Wycombe boss Martin O'Neill.

The match is to recognise the defender's eleven years with The Chairboys since O'Neill himself signed Cousins from Brentford back in 1991, when the Buckinghamshire club were still a non-league outfit.

The defender was part of Wycombe's rise from the Conference to Division Two during his time at the club but ticket sales for his testimonial have so far been woeful.

Cousins said: "We've sold 1,500 tickets and I need 3,500 to break even.

"The police insist the game is all-ticket and there's a big policing bill to pay.

"When you're faced with losing £15,000 of your own money, you panic."
