Henry's racism threat

THIERRY HENRY has threatened to walk off the pitch if he endures a repeat of the shameful racist taunts in Eindhoven.

The Arsenal striker was subjected to a torrent of abuse from the terraces in PSV's Philips Stadion along with several of his team-mates.

Arsenal romped to a stunning 4-0 Champions League success in Holland but the night was soured by the racist vitriol from the crowd.

Uefa have launched an investigation into the accusations of racism but Henry insists he is prepared to take matters into his own hands, if there is any repeat.

"If I just walk off the pitch the next time it happens then people would take this problem more seriously," vowed Henry.

"There is no place for racism and the authorities should be doing a lot more to deal with the problem.

"This is 2002 and you would have thought people's attitudes would, and should, have changed by now.

"I can handle the fans who try to wind you up, you get on with it and accept it. But why should I put up with racism?

"It sickens me when people feel they have a right to judge you by the colour of your skin.

"You should hear what some of these people say. But they are not football fans, they give the game a bad name and should be banned."
