Hearts not rushing in for keeper
Levein had been linked with a move for the 28-year-old shot-stopper as a replacement for Antti Niemi who left Tynecastle for Southampton.
But the Jambos boss is happy with current number one Roddy McKenzie and slammed the speculation.
"It's a lot of nonsense," said Levein.
Filimonov currently plays for Uralan Elista in his homeland after garnering vast experience during his career.
The keeper was a championship winner for Spartak Moscow before joining Dinamo Kiev in the summer of 2001.
However, he endured a miserable spell in Ukraine and linked up with Uralan in an attempt to resurrect his career.
He was previously Russia's number one but a clanger against Ukraine, which wrecked his nation's Euro 2000 ambitions, stalled his international career.
Though Filimonov was a member of Russia's 2002 World Cup squad, he has failed to oust his replacement Ruslan Nigmatullin.
