Ronaldinho's injury setback

PARIS SAINT GERMAIN'S Brazilian ace Ronaldinho has picked up a slight thigh strain but is expected to be sidelined for only a few days.

Ronaldinho suffered the injury in training on Tuesday and will sit out PSG's Uefa Cup trip to Budapest to face Ujpesti.

However, the World Cup winner is tipped to return at the weekend against Guingamp after an MRI scan revealed it was just a cramp on his thigh.

PSG coach Luis Fernandez admits it is of more benefit for Ronaldinho to remain in the French capital rather than travel to Hungary.

"I would like to see him here," admitted Fernandez. "But it is preferable he gets treatment in Paris with the hope of being back for Guingamp."

One of the club's doctors revealed that had it not been for the European clash against Ujpesti, it is unlikely there would have been any alarm about Ronaldinho's injury.

"If it had happened at the start of the week and without this match in Budapest, we would not even have talked about this injury."
