Gills list White
GILLINGHAM boss Andy Hessenthaler has placed young defender Ben White on the transfer list.
The 20-year-old has yet to feature in The Gills` first-team, and has accepted the club`s offer of making him available in order to stop his career stagnating.
Commenting on the developments, Hessenthaler (pictured) said: "Ben came to see me because he wants regular first team football.
"He's a young lad with a future, but perhaps not in Division One at this present time."
The door is not completely closed for White at Priestfield, as Hessenthaler added: "But stranger things have happened and you never know.
"If he does well in the reserves he'll have a chance, but we've said we'll help him to look for another club."
White has had two spells on loan at Dover, but will be looking to find a club in the professional ranks.
