Bobic misses BVB tussle
IN-FORM Hannover striker Fredi Bobic will miss this weekend's showdown with former club Borussia Dortmund with a thigh injury.
The former German international marksman had been looking forward to putting one over on BVB coach Matthias Sammer, who made it known to Bobic that he did not figure in his plans.
"It would just have to happen before the game against Dortmund," moaned Bobic.
Hannover boss Ralf Rangnick was rocked by the news that his main striker would be unavailable.
"Fredi is not only important for us as a result of his goals - he is also one of the leading personalities on the park," said Rangnick.
Bobic has notched four goals in as many games for his new club since his long-awaited move from Dortmund.
