Cambridge sign Maine Road youngster
The 20-year-old joined fellow Citizens team-mate Rhys Day and an unnamed Norwegian player for a trial with manager John Taylor's side.
The former Maine Road trainee will go into the squad for Saturday's Division Three clash against Wrexham.
With left-back Fred Murray out for six weeks with an ankle injury, Jordan is the only left-footed defender available to Taylor and he should get a chance to play for the Abbey Stadium side during his loan spell.
On the inclusion of Jordan in The U's squad, Taylor told the Cambridge United official website: "I like what I've seen of him in the two days he's been here, and he'll go straight into the squad for tomorrow."
Meanwhile, Cambridge have confirmed that striker Colin Alcide has left the club 'by mutual consent' after a spell plagued by injuries.
Alcide (pictured) signed for The U's in May 2001 under former manager John Beck but the 30-year-old became surplus to requirements at the club, having just completed a month's loan with non-league Gainsborough Trinity.
Taylor added: "I think he'll probably play in non-league but I'm not certain what he'll be doing now."
