Sava can't mask delight at scoring

FACUNDO SAVA celebrated his goal for Fulham against Charlton with a wacky celebration, whipping out a bandit mask from his sock.

The Argentine striker grabbed the only goal of the game in the first half and used a celebration that was unfamiliar to English audiences, but well-known to fans of former club Gimnasia la Plata.

Sava's celebrations are the stuff of legend in Argentina, a fact that planetfootball unveiled right back when the player signed for the London club in May.

Sava was delighted that his party piece has finally hit the headlines, and admitted that he will extend his collection of masks if his goalscoring exploits continue.

"I started wearing them when I was in Argentina," said Sava.

"The wolf mask was the most famous.

"I started receiving masks from fans - but I have left 250 of them back home in South America."
