Collins eyes Tigers duo

CARLISLE UNITED boss Roddy Collins says that he is hoping to lure Hull duo Matt Glennon and Gary Alexander to Brunton Park.

The Cumbrians boss is desperate to strengthen his side after a disappointing start to the season.

Torquay inflicted their eighth defeat of the season on Collins's men on Saturday and the boss is eager to turn things around.

Goalkeeper Glennon has already turned down a loan move to one of his former clubs but Collins is hoping he will agree to a move this time around.

Alexander showed his striking talents against Carlisle when he banged in a hat-trick in their last meeting a month ago.

"These are players we want at the club," Collins said of The Tigers duo.

"We are not resting with what we have got and we are working really hard on improving the squad."
