Zenden wants Chelsea exit

DUTCH winger Boudewijn Zenden has added to Chelsea's current woes by claiming he wants to quit Stamford Bridge.

Zenden has become frustrated at life on the King's Road and believes The Blues are heading for a crisis.

Chelsea have lost their last two Premiership fixtures and suffered an ignominious exit from the Uefa Cup at the hands of Norwegian minnows Viking Stavanger.

This has prompted Zenden to question his future in the capital and the 26-year-old is ready to leave for pastures new.

"Chelsea are in a stew," bemoaned Zenden. "I want to change clubs."

Zenden arrived at Chelsea from Barcelona in a £7.5 million transfer in August 2001 but has failed to nail down a regular starting place courtesy of a combination of injury and Claudio Ranieri's rotation policy.

Serie A leaders Internazionale have been mooted as possible suitors for the flying Dutchman and a move may be in the pipeline when the transfer window reopens in January.

Inter coach Hector Cuper is eager to snap up a winger to provide equilibrium to his formation, although his first option appears to be Real Madrid's Santiago Solari.

If Inter plump for Zenden, the Dutchman's sale would provide Chelsea with some much-needed cash as they seek to balance the books.
