Delgado is Saints scapegoat - Agent
The 27-year-old has yet to make an appearance for The Saints this season despite the South Coast outfit scoring just four goals in eight contests, prior to Brett Ormerod's brace against Manchester City last weekend.
"He's only been getting bad results, therefore he is very worried about finding someone to blame for that," said Delgado's agent.
The South American's relationship with the club's Scottish manager has been tenured from the very start, after the £3.5 million signing from Nexaca failed to make any impact in his debut season and continually missed games through injury.
Delgado's agent also revealed that the former Leeds and Manchester United star was on the verge of being dismissed by chairman Rupert Lowe before last Saturday's impressive win over City.
"He (Strachan) was on the verge of being sacked, but winning against Manchester City finally saved him," added Marcos Delgado. "I hope my brother will have a better chance of playing under another manager."
