Whitley makes Notts County loan move
NOTTS COUNTY have taken Manchester City midfielder Jeff Whitley on a month's loan at Meadow Lane.
The 23-year-old has been a regular in The Citizens' reserves this season after fighting his way back from serious injury last term.
During his rehabilitation spell last season, Whitley breached club discipline rules which limited the Northern Ireland international's chances of first team football with the Maine Road club.
He spent the last two months of last season with The Magpies on loan and will look to gain more first team action with manager Billy Dearden's side again.
Whitley may be set to go straight into the Notts County side for Saturday's match at home against Northampton Town, as they look to climb out of trouble from their fifth from bottom place in the table.
