Injury blow for Kahn

BAYERN MUNICH`S woes were compounded on Wednesday evening by an injury to keeper Oliver Kahn.

The German titans are on the verge of being knocked out of the Champions League, after slipping to a 2-1 defeat at Milan - a game in which Kahn was forced from the field of play shortly after half-time.

Kahn is not sure how serious his thigh injury is, but he will definitely miss the weekend clash with Hannover.

He said: "I twisted my knee as I landed and suddenly felt a stabbing pain.

"We'll have to wait and see how it develops. There's still some bruising. But maybe I'll be fit again in a week."

The 33-year-old will now face a race against time to be fit for the Champions League clash with Deportivo La Coruna next week.
