Dunfermline in talks with Taribo West

The Scottish club confirmed to planetfootball that they had opened talks with the former Internazionale star West.

"We are in discussions with Taribo West but that is all we are going to say at this time," said a spokesperson for the club.

West had trained with Premiership Manchester City in the summer and was also linked with a move to Bolton.

However, it appears the defender, who has also played for Milan, Auxerre, Kaiserslautern and Derby County is thinking about a move to the SPL.

Dunfermline are currently third in the league behind Glasgow giants Celtic and Rangers and the arrival of West would be a major boost to the club.
