Kilford signs for Irons
IAN KILFORD has completed his transfer to Third Division Scunthorpe United, where he will play on non-contract terms.
Kilford had been on a similar contract at Bury but has opted for a move to Glanford Park.
The 28-year-old started his career at Nottingham Forest where he made just one appearance for the club before moving onto Wigan, turning out over 200 times in nine years.
However, the midfielder only figured in 22 league and cup games for The Latics last season and they opted not to renew his contract.
He will go straight into the squad to face Boston at the weekend as The Irons look to improve on their mid-table position.
