Micoud thankful to Bremen

FRENCH international Johan Micoud has admitted he is happy with life at Werder Bremen and thanked the German club for ending his hell at Parma.

"I had reached a deadlock with Parma."  Micoud explained in his frustrations at the Seria A side.

"I was made to train on my own and it was clear they didn't want to keep me anymore."

The goal scoring midfielder revealed he chose Bremen ahead of a host of other clubs: "There were several clubs interested in me, most notably in England, but Werder showed the most interest in me and made me feel wanted."

He added: "They said they needed an attacking midfielder like me and the whole transfer was done in five days and I have signed for three years."

Micoud admitted he did not know an awful lot about the Bundesliga club before he joined, but does not regret his decision to join Bremen.

"I was not disappointed by the football or the atmosphere at the games," said Micoud.

"I have adjusted to life very quickly thanks to the help of my team-mates and thankfully the results have been good to."
