Soltvedt ready for Brann return

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY'S Trond Egil Soltvedt could be set to join Brann when his contract expires next summer.

The 35-year-old began his career with Viking before moving to Brann in 1992.

He went on to play for Rosenborg, Coventry and Southampton, before ending up at Hillsborough.

Soltvedt has now revealed that he could be on his back to Brann.

"Wednesday is interested in extending the deal, but the plan is that I will stop after this season," revealed Soltvedt - who is building a new house in Bergen.

"We will have the house ready to May.

"I had actually not planned to play football when I came back, but Brann is still the club in my heart. They got my number and can call if they want to."

Brann manager Teitur Thordarson confirmed they are interested in the veteran.

"If Trond Egil moves home it is natural that we will contact him."
