Aimar's injury woe
VALENCIA`S woes were compounded on Sunday with the news that Pablo Aimar is set to miss at least the next month of the season.
The Argentine playmaker limped out of the 1-0 defeat by Osasuna in the 25th-minute, with fears that he has suffered a nasty injury to his right leg.
Aimar is definitely out of Argentina`s friendly with Japan, instead he will stay in Spain to start his recovery.
The player was understandably unhappy, as he told planetfootball.com: "At the moment, I cannot think about returning. But I hope it is not too long."
Valencia coach Rafa Benitez added that it was a major blow, but one his squad will hopefully be able to overcome.
He said: "This is a massive loss for us, but at Valencia we have sufficient players to enable us to overcome the loss of Pablo."
Early reports are saying he could be out for the rest of the year, which would mean he would definitely miss the first two games of the second phase of the Champions League against Arsenal and Ajax.
