Figo slams Barca duo
Figo, who left Barcelona for their arch-rivals Real just over two years ago for a then world record fee, has been the subject of hate for the Camp Nou fans ever since for what they see as an apparent act of betrayal.
The match at Camp Nou was suspended for 15 minutes after Figo came under attack from a shower of missiles as he prepared to take a corner midway through the second half.
The players were taken off the pitch until order was restored, before the game could be finally played to an end.
Gaspart suggested after the game that Figo had brought the trouble on himself by goading the angry Barca fans.
Figo was furious at Gaspart's claims and believes that he has a serious problem to sort out.
"Thousands of people saw what happened, so Gaspart has a problem that he has to sort out," said Figo.
Figo was also outraged by van Gaal's attack on him as he felt he had saved the Dutchman on many occasions during his time at Camp Nou.
"I saved van Gaal on many occasions when we were both at Barcelona," said Figo. "It surprises me that van Gaal had talked about me in the mass media when he never did when we were at Barcelona."
Figo rejected the claims that he provoked the volatile crowd, insisting he was just doing his job of taking the corners.
"It is my work to take the corners and that was the only thing that I was thinking of," added Figo.
Despite the trouble Figo insists he has no problem in playing at Camp Nou in the future, as he expects to get such a hostile reception every time he returns to his old club.
"I do not have any problem," said Figo. "The Camp Nou is a fantastic field to play football on, although it is necessary that this type of situation is not repeated.
"I knew there would be a hostile atmosphere and I understand it, but in football there are many opinions and feelings.
"I believe that the public opinion can be expressed, but within the rules of sportsmanship.
"In Barcelona there are many good people and all should not be generalised because of the vandals."
The Camp Nou could now be closed for some games as a result of the trouble, but Figo refused to get involved in the controversy surrounding the proposed punishment for Barcelona.
"This is something that I do not decide, that is for the people who command, although the best thing is to end this type of situation," said Figo. "This is not football, it is another thing."
