Salva unhappy with Valencia uncertainty

OUT-OF-FAVOUR Valencia striker Salva has revealed his frustration at the uncertainty surrounding his future at La Mestalla.

The former Atletico Madrid ace has been frozen out Rafael Benitez's plans recently and has only played four La Liga games all season.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from the champions with a mystery English Premiership club thought to be keen on him as well as old club Racing Santander.

Salva is free to move to another Spanish club as long as he does not play five games this season, but the highly-rated forward admitted he did not know what the club were planning to do with him and that he was happy to stay.

"All I am asking is that they show me the same respect I am showing them," said Salva.

"If the club has taken a decision or are thinking of taking one, I would like to know about it.

"I'm the first person who should know and all of this will take on another aspect if it turns out they are doing things behind my back.

"If they don't want me to play so I don't play five matches, they should tell me.

"I am not looking for a way out and even the fans tell me that I should stay and that I deserve a chance.

"That helps, as does the attitude of my team-mates."
