Zico impressed by Adriano

BRAZILIAN legend Zico believes that Parma striker Adriano has a bright future ahead of him and that he will be a vital member of the Brazil national team some day.

Zico, who is now coach of Japan, saw Adriano score both goals for Parma as they beat Reggina 2-0 on Sunday.

The Brazilian attended the game to see his two Japanese stars Hidetoshi Nakata and Sunshuke Nakamura play, but Adriano stole the show and impressed Zico.

"Adriano as a little Ronaldo ? He has to grow, but also today he showed big things," said Zico.

"He could surely become an important player for the Brazilian national team.

"The first goal was beautiful. He's a complete player, with a left-footed shot that was absolutely great".

Zico also admitted that he thought that Nakata's experience of playing in Italy had made him a better player and that it would also benefit Nakamura.

"In comparison to Nakamura he (Nakata) is more experienced. He has played for a long time in Italy and this experience has surely helped him to grow and become a champion."
