Van Vossen hit with three game ban

DE GRAAFSCHAP attacker Peter van Vossen has been suspended for three matches after trial by television.

Van Vossen was found guilty of kicking NAC Breda defender Jurgen Colin in an off-the-ball incident in their recent Eredivisie tussle.

The KNVB arbitrary commission meted out a three-game ban for van Vossen although the decision angered De Graf coach Peter Bosz.

"This is just ridiculous," stormed Bosz. "There is a question of will. This weekend, I have seen more fouls that should have resulted in red cards."

Bosz also took a sideswipe at his opposite number, NAC coach Henk Ten Cate, for bringing the van Vossen incident to the KNVB's attention.

He added: "I cannot shirk the impression that Ten Cate has made the KNVB observer alert."
