Brando wants to be a contender

SEDAN midfielder Frederic Brando is unhappy with his lack of first team action at the club, and could leave during the winter.

The 29-year-old has struggled to get near the first team and has played just 12 games since he arrived at Louis-Dugauguez in July 2001.

He does not know why coach Henri Stambouli has not included him in the side even though his team have been struggling of late.

Brando will probably leave the club during the winter transfer window, but says he has always done his best despite not getting the chance to play.

"The chairman can't reproach me for anything. Despite what I am living here, I have always done the necessary work," said Brando.

"My relationship with the other players is good. I am not here to cause trouble, I just think it is scandalous I never had any explanation on that complete ban.

"Even if I respect the coach's tactical choices, I am surprised to have never been in the group while we are in the bottom places of Le Championnat. In such a context, it is logical I ask some questions."
