Lauren quits Cameroon
Lauren has made the decision in order to focus on his Highbury career, despite only being 25-years-old.
The attack-minded full back had been contemplating hanging up his Indomitable Lions boots after Cameroon's failure at the World Cup finals.
With all the travelling involved in playing for the West African nation, Lauren has opted to quit the international scene to concentrate on The Gunners.
"I have now cleared everything in my mind and I have made the very difficult decision that I am not going to play for my national team any more. That's definite," he told Arsenal's matchday programme.
"Even though we have the Confederations Cup to play during the summer, which has the world's best teams like France, Brazil and Germany, I have decided that I'm not going to play for my country any more.
"You sometimes have to make big decisions and even though I am still young at 25, I feel that I've made the right decision."
