McManaman robbed
STEVE McMANAMAN has expressed sadness at discovering some of his most prized jerseys were stolen from his house over Christmas.
The Real Madrid man returned to England to spend the festive period with his family, and it was on Christmas Day that the thieves struck.
The gang evaded stringent security to enter McManaman`s luxurious villa, and rifled through his belongings.
Goods of high value were taken, but it was the theft of shirts that has bothered the winger more.
He said: "I am far more upset by the loss of the shirts than the money."
It is believed that shirts taken include the ones in which he made his Real Madrid debut and his England jerseys, as well as the ones he wore when Real lifted the Champions League trophy and Intercontinental Cup.
The player is set to offer a reward in order to recover the shirts.
