Turkish duo eye Inter extensions

TURKISH duo Emre Belezoglu and Okan Buruk say that they are both close to agreeing on new contracts at Giuseppe Meazza.

The pair have recently spent five hours in talks with Inter officials over extending their stays in Milan, and are happy with the way talks have progressed.

Inter are looking to tie both of the Turkish World Cup stars to five-year contracts, and they say they are close to agreeing on the final details.

"This meeting was very positive," Emre (pictured) told Hurriyet newspaper.

"We are 70 percent of the way towards a deal with the club, although there are some rough edges.

"Okan and I have settled here in Italy, and we do not want to leave.

"Italy likes us and we like Italy."

Okan had special praise for Inter boss Hector Cuper, saying his experience and knowledge was of great use to them, whilst Emre also praised the professionalism of the Italian players.

"He is very experienced," Okan said of Cuper. "He does not treat any players differently.

"He is rich in football idea and tactics."

"Players are professional in Italy," added Emre. "Every player works for the success of the team during the match."
