United eye Derby starlet

EXCLUSIVE
MANCHESTER UNITED are keeping tabs on Derby County starlet Pablo Mills.

Mills is one of Pride Park's finest young players, although he is yet to be given the opportunity of some of his former youth side team-mates Izale McLeod, Lee Grant, Adam Murray and Adam Bolder.

The 18-year-old made his full debut for John Gregory's side on Saturday, having made two earlier substitute appearances, and is established in the England Under-19 side and it is whilst on international duty that he has caught the eye of a number of clubs - including United.

"He is very highly rated and very powerful young player, he is very, very good," Mills's agent Gino Culbertson told planetfootball.com.

"He is best at centre half, but again people like him at wing back.

"His temperament is excellent and he is always willing to learn.

"All his England team-mates call him Sol and that shows how highly they rate him.

"He played in the England Under-19s and was outstanding for them.

"Manchester United coaches were at the game watching their own players and they said at the time how impressed they were with him, but they were one of many coaches to comment on how good he was."

United are one of a number of clubs to watch Mills in reserve team action and they will be aware of Derby's precarious financial position which means they are unable and unlikely to turn down any reasonable offer.
