Gunners look at Bulgarian keeper

ARSENAL have taken Bulgarian international goalkeeper Zdravko Zdravkov on trial, as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger looks for cover for David Seaman.

Wenger has admitted he is on the lookout for a new goalkeeper to act as cover for Seaman with both Rami Shaaban and Stuart Taylor both out with injury.

Shaaban faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after breaking his leg just before Christmas, while Taylor is nursing a broken finger.

Arsenal only have youngster Craig Holloway available to take over from Seaman should the England international pick up an injury, with fourth-choice keeper Graham Stack out on loan at feeder club Beveren.

Wenger is keen to have experienced cover as back-up to Seaman and should Zdravkov impress on trial at Highbury he could make a permanent move to North London.

The Cherno More shot-stopper has a wealth of experience having been part of Bulgaria's World Cup squad in 1998 and is established as his country's number one now.
