Zanetti: Inter my last club
The Argentine has endured some difficult moments since moving to Inter from Argentine side Banfield seven-and-a-half years ago, but despite persistent speculation of a move to Manchester United in previous campaigns, things are now back on track.
The arrival of Argentine coach Hector Cuper at the club has given Zanetti a new lease of life, and he is honoured to have been recognised by the fans.
"I thank all the fans who voted for me as this really is a proud moment. I chose Inter a long time ago and always maintained I wanted to end my career in this club," said Zanetti.
"Winning the Scudetto is the most difficult trophy in football.
"Milan have great skill, Juventus are solid and the two Roman clubs won't give in, but Inter have a large squad and the fire is in their belly from last year's disappointment.
"That could be the deciding factor."
