Van Halst leaves Ajax
JAN VAN HALST has signed a permanent deal with Vitesse Arnhem, following earlier reports that said he was making a loan move from Ajax.
The former Twente midfielder was a mainstay of Ronald Koeman`s title-winning team last term, but fell down the pecking order this season.
Rather than leave him languishing in the reserves, Koeman granted the 33-year-old a free transfer.
Vitesse were quick to make their interest known and have tied van Halst to an 18-month deal.
In other news, Stefan Nanu has left the Gelredome and returned to Romania to find a new club after falling out of favour at Vitesse.
