Nee no longer needed at Lyon
FORGOTTEN Lyon striker Frederic Nee could be on his way out of the club because he says he needs to be playing first-team football.
Nee suffered a very serious knee injury at the start of last season and knows his chances at the club are limited.
The striker made just 13 appearances for the club after signing from Bastia for £500,000 in the summer of 2001, scoring four goals in all competitions.
However, Nee has found it hard to break back into the side since returning from his lengthy lay-off.
Troyes and Nice are the most likely destinations for the 28-year-old; the player would welcome a move to high flyers Nice who currently stand second in Le Championnat but Lyon would be loathed to sell to a team so near them in the table.
