Buxton joins Cherries
BOURNEMOUTH have taken defender Lewis Buxton on a month's loan from nearby rivals Portsmouth.
The 19-year-old joins The Cherries in time for their crunch Division Three clash at Cambridge United on Saturday.
The youngster has been a Pompey trainee and made his Portsmouth debut in August 2001.
Buxton saw plenty of action until this season, when he spent a previous loan spell in Devon with Division Three strugglers Exeter City.
He will look to help Sean O'Driscoll's side to climb the table, as Bournemouth aim for promotion from Division Three this season.
