Ronaldinho interested in Italian move
The Paris St Germain ace has been a long-term target for Manchester United, but has now given the clearest hint yet about his future plans.
"I feel ready to play to play in Italy," the 22-year-old told the Corriero dello Sport.
"To wear the shirt of Inter Milan would be a great achievement for me because they are one of the most important teams in Italy.
"(Massimo) Moratti is a great man.
"He wants to create a successful team with great players, and I like that mentality.
"That is the best route to take, and one that I prefer as well as supporters."
Ronaldinho's agent, and brother, Roberto Assis, confirmed that Inter and Manchester United had both made contact with the player through intermediaries, but stated that any possible deal was still a long way from happening.
"Ronaldinho still belongs to PSG. There is not a agreement in place with any club," declared Assis.
Meanwhile, Roma general manager Franco Baldini has confirmed that the 'Giallorossi' are in talks with Inter over a possible deal for Argentine striker Gabriel Batistuta.
"Right now, all we have is a call by Inter, who asked for Batistuta," Baldini said.
"Most likely, tomorrow we will meet in order to settle the details."
Baldini's declaration comes as something of a surprise, as he had earlier been quoted as saying that Roma had not received any contact from the Milan outfit on the matter.
