Espanyol take Torricelli on trial
ESPANYOL have handed a trial to former Juventus and Fiorentina defender Moreno Torricelli.
The Spanish side are very keen to sign the full back, but are keen to see him in action before offering him a deal.
The 32-year-old, who is available on a free transfer, has attracted the interest of a host of clubs including Torino, Como and Venezia.
Espanyol coach Javier Clemente has been impressed by the former Italian international and is confident he will sign a deal at the club.
"He had a very good training session," said Clemente. "I've spoken with him and I've found Torricelli in very good physical and mental condition.
"I've not a lot of doubts and I think he'll surely stay with us."
