Mazzone level with Trap
A BITTERSWEET day for Brescia saw the anniversary of Vittorio Mero's death, but also brought a record for coach Carlo Mazzone.
Mazzone celebrated his 689th match as coach - equalling Italian national boss Giovanni Trapattoni, but his team could only play out a 1-1 draw with Parma.
"That is a big number of matches as coach," said Mazzone after the game.
"I'm happy to be level with Trapattoni - who is a great friend of mine.
"It will be nice to surpass him at something!
"I thought it was a good match, although very tactical.
"I would have to reserve special praise for Parma's goalkeeper Sebastien Frey - he is a great player and will surely have a wonderful career."
