Hayward requests move
BARNSLEY midfielder Steve Hayward has slapped in a transfer request at Oakwell.
The former Fulham playmaker has disappointed caretaker manager Glyn Hodges with his attitude, after recovering from a serious knee injury.
The Tykes stand-in chief has admitted he will not select the 31-year-old for the Nationwide League fixture with Swindon Town at the weekend.
"He's let down the club after all that time looking after him through the injury," Hodges told Barnsley's official website.
"He's let down the fans.
"He's asked for a move and, as far as I'm concerned, he can go tomorrow."
