Robins Strengthen defence with Greg

CHELTENHAM TOWN have bolstered their squad with the signing of Hull City defender Greg Strong.

The 27-year-old has not featured for Hull since last September and is not part of Peter Taylor's long-term plans.

Strong goes straight into The Robins' squad for their match with Tranmere on Tuesday.

Town manager Bobby Gould has been looking for cover after a spate of injuries.

On the injury front, stopper Richard Walker has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old has damaged his knee and an MRI scan confirmed the extent of the damage.

"It goes without saying that I'm very, very disappointed," said Walker.

"The one plus point I suppose is that at least I know exactly what the problem is now."
