Pettinger leaves Imps

OUT-OF-FAVOUR Lincoln goalkeeper Paul Pettinger has left the club by mutual consent.

The former Rotherham ace was unhappy with his lack of first-team football at Sincil Bank and keen on a move away.

Pettinger had found himself third choice keeper at the club behind Alan Marriott and Darren Horrigan and recently spent a month on loan with Conference side Telford United.

A severance deal has been agreed for the player's contract to be paid up to allow him to find himself a new club.

Meanwhile, Imps defender Mark Camm has joined Unibond Premier League side Gainsborough Trinity on a month's loan.

Camm could be joined at Gainsborough by Pettinger with ex-City boss Phil Stant keen to bolster his goalkeeping options.
