Many eyes on Maric
The striker is Wolfsburg's leading scorer this season with five goals in 16 games, but he has fallen out with coach Wolfgang Wolf (pictured).
Wolf is due to relinquish the reins of the Bundesliga club at the end of the season, and Maric`s situation depends on how he fits in with the new boss.
Argentine ace Diego Klimowicz, Bulgarian Martin Petrov and new-signing Peter Madsen have all topped Maric in the pecking order, but the 30-year-old displayed his skills with a spectacular goal in the 2-0 win over Bielefeld on Saturday.
The goal will have made the Arminia management team stand up and take note, while Bundesliga Zwei pace-setters Cologne are looking to build a squad capable of holding their own in the top-flight and Maric would be a useful addition.
Maric still feels he is capable of producing the goods, when called upon by Wolf.
After scoring his goal at the weekend, Maric said: "Whenever I get the chance to play a full match I score and this won't change."
