Hull angry at AWOL Green

HULL CITY will discipline Stuart Green for missing the club's match against Lincoln - and choosing instead to go and watch Carlisle United.

The former Newcastle man was dropped by Peter Taylor and went to watch the side that had competed with Hull for his signature.

His club are unhappy with the player's attitude and will issue a statement on what action they will take after Green has given his explanations.

"I was extremely unhappy with the player appearing at Carlisle over the weekend," said chairman Adam Pearson.

"At the very best it was a misguided reaction to being left out of the squad.

"I will be speaking to the player and when the facts have been accurately assimilated I will issue a full statement that clearly states the position of the club and player."

Meanwhile Hull are still hoping to take Mark Robins on loan from Rotherham.

The club are vying with Walsall with the player's signature and progression is expected on Tuesday.
