Smith rejects Morrell rumours
WREXHAM boss Denis Smith has dismissed reports linking prolific striker Andy Morrell with a possible move to Tottenham or Ipswich.
Reports had suggested that both clubs were watching the 28-year-old's situation at the Racecourse Ground.
Morrell has caught the eye of a host of clubs with his fine form this season having netted 20 goals this term, but Smith is unaware of any interest in the player.
"Tell them to get on the real planet. I'm not knocking Andy's chances of going on to play at a higher level," Smith told the Evening Leader.
"I hope, from his point of view, that he does. But had there been any interest in him from either of these clubs they would have contacted me.
"As far as we know there is no interest being shown in Andy from either of these clubs."
