Haaland pursues Keane case

MANCHESTER CITY midfielder Alf Inge Haaland has dismissed reports that he is considering dropping his legal action against Roy Keane and Manchester United.

It had been suggested in The Sun newspaper that the former Leeds and Nottingham Forest star would turn his back on the proceedings he started against Keane in the light of the Irishman's controversial admission that he deliberately set out to injure the Norwegian international.

"That is only speculation that The Sun have to stand for," declared the 30-year-old.

"Neither I or Manchester City have anything new to tell in this case."

Haaland revealed he was still unsure as to when any decision in the case would be reached, and admitted he was now solely focused on returning to action.

"I'm not sure on how long we will make up our mind.

"What counts for me is that I have two and a half year left on my contract with City.

"I'm only focused on playing football again.

"I hope I manage to play football again, if not I wouldn't had bothered to train. I am still getting better."
