Batistuta was still seething with the referee and claimed that he feels that someone is trying to stop Inter winning the title.

"I've had the sensation that someone wanted to limit us," fumed Batistuta.

"I arrived after Perugia's events, here is the first time that it happens. But I don't want to think that, after the opponent defenders, we as forwards have to struggle also against something else."

"When I arrived at Rome the question was still the same, Juve and Milan win practically always, and sometimes it's natural thinking this," added Batistua.

"I don't think we're alone against all the others, but if it would be right it would be really most beautiful winning with Inter. There will be a special taste.

"I don't know if winning the Scudetto with Inter, it's the same thing to win two or three of them with Juve or Milan and it doesn't interest me. I want only to win the Scudetto with Inter.

"Chievo? We've a big delusion and bitterness because we went to Verona to win and, instead, we lost in that way."

Meanwhile, Marco Materazzi has been ruled out of Inter's Champions League clash with Barcelona after picking up a thigh injury against Chievo.

Tests have shown that the former Everton ace faces a spell on the sidelines and is likely to miss the game with Barca as well as next week's league clash with Piacenza.
