Hutch reveals Gers interest

WEST HAM ace Don Hutchison has revealed he almost joined Rangers last month and has refused to rule out a move to Ibrox in the summer.

The Scottish international saw a loan move to Rangers just before the transfer deadline fall through at the last minute.

Hutchison is thought be unhappy at being unable to work his way back into the first team at West Ham after overcoming a serious knee injury.

The 31-year-old indicated that he hoped that Rangers may renew their interest in the summer if his situation at Upton Park does not improve.

"The Rangers thing came up because I had said that I wanted to go out on loan because I wasn't going to get a regular game with West Ham," Hutchison told The Scottish Daily Express.

"It didn't happen so now I have to concentrate on getting back in the West Ham team.

"I have made it clear if I don't get back in the team before the summer I will consider my options.

"I need to be playing if I want to stay in the Scotland set-up and if Rangers were to come back in for me then it is something I would seriously consider because they are a massive club.

"They are the only club in Scotland I would consider playing for."
