Loan extension a Doane deal
SHEFFIELD UNITED defender Ben Doane has had his loan stay at Mansfield extended by a further month.
The 22-year-old made a positive impression on Stags boss Keith Curle (pictured) during his first month at the club, which prompted the Division Two outfit to seek an extension.
Blades boss Neil Warnock is happy for the youngster to secure regular playing time, so has granted permission for Doane to spend an extra month at Field Mill.
Mansfield are currently in the final relegation spot, and Curle will look for Doane to continue to shore up his defence as they aim to beat the drop.
