Friedrich keeps Hertha waiting
HERTHA BERLIN star Arne Friedrich has demanded more time to think about club's offer to extend his contract until 2007 according to his agent.
Friedrich joined Hertha last summer from Arminia Bielefeld and is under contract at the Olympiastadium until 2005, but the club are already keen to tie the 23-year-old down for four more years.
"We are unlikely to make a decision in the near future as we simply need more time," said Friedrich's agent Norbert Pflippen.
The tall right back did not only star for Hertha in Bundesliga and Uefa Cup this season, but also won promotion to Rudi Voller's national side, where he has featured in all games since the World Cup.
